MEET THEMA AZIZE SERWA

1983

From the moment I arrived in my mother's womb, she knew I was here. She made a bet with my dad to prove she was right. My father prayed every day over me in my mother's womb and said I would be a teacher in the world. His transition when I was one, made my mother relocate to Maryland and start a career in Prince George's County Public School System for over 20 years. I was raised by a phenomenal educator. My mother showed me the value of neuroeducation and intuitive teaching. And my dad, he was right. I currently have a global women's empowerment business in 17 countries helping women #HealEverything. That company placed me in elementary schools, colleges, corporate, and community building spaces for over 10 years.

March 2015

I remember the day I felt like all of my emotions were all over the place. On that day I found out that I was 4 weeks pregnant, after 8 years of trying to conceive. Finally holistic and integrative medicine got me there. It was in that moment that I started activating my vision of homeschooling my daughter. She was not even born yet but her library and curriculum was being designed.

November 2015

I remember the feeling of the "BIG" responsibility. I am a mother now. My daughter that I spent years trying to conceive and birth was finally here. I knew right away that her learning journey did not start at PreK. She had to learn how to get out of my body. I made a commitment straight away to give her all that I have so she can live her best life.

2017
She's 2

Zahriel did everything quickly. Talking. Walking. Reading. Writing... The only thing she took her time with was weaning. By age two, I was recognizing that her ability to learn was a reflection of her lifestyle. I was a full time entrepreneur. She had the opportunity to stay tied to me, work with me, travel with me. She learned through how we lived. I realized through parenting that the easiest thing for a child to do is learn. It is natural for them.

2021
She's 6

By age 6 my daughter had found her stride with her creativity, wrote and sold her first book, launched a business selling "sockrings" and as a professional speaker on Youtube, and won awards in the Howard County Children's Business Fair. Nontraditional learning set her on a path for greatness.

School Leadership

Thema has one primary goal and that is to normalize educating our children beyond the boundaries that limit their brilliance and sense of community life.

Over 20 Years of Positive Impact in the Community

"It is so easy to be told what to do and to just fall in line. What is more courageous is discovering just how genius every child is and how their natural proclivity to learn, changes us as parents and as a community. It may not be the most comfortable journey at first, but comfort can be overrated. We strive to support every family in creating the lifestyle that supports how their child thrives and enjoys education."
